JASMINE ALOESE - Councilwoman
Jasmine Aloese is a member of the Jamul Indian Village Tribal Council. She brings extensive leadership experience representing the Tribe and its gaming initiatives.
Ms. Aloese was part of the initial Jamul Indian Village Gaming Commission established six (6) years ago. The Gaming Commission is tasked with ensuring that the Tribe’s gaming activities are in compliance with federal and tribal law. In addition to regulating much of Jamul Casino’s activities, the Gaming Commission licenses all employees. Prior to her tenure on Tribal Council Ms. Aloese served as the Gaming Commission’s Vice Chair.
At the age of 16, Ms. Aloese was voted “Ms. Kumeyaay,” an honor bestowed by the Kumeyaay Tribal elders due to her cultural knowledge and her presentation skills. This accomplishment is a great source of pride for Ms. Aloese, as Jamul Indian Village is one of the smallest of the 13 Kumeyaay bands, and her achievement helped raise the profile of the Jamul Tribe.
